About

My name is Kalyn Autumn Farmer and I am a Game Design Art graduate from Cogswell College, with a strong focus on Game Design, 3D Modeling, UX Design, and Graphic Design. I’m also a passionate artist and crafter! Check out my instagram link so see my recent work! :)

In addition to my graphic design career with Sky River Casino, I also do graphic design for local businesses, as well as commission work for art installations, such as “Herd on the Street” and my most recent Joe Avis Farms Mural Project. My strengths are within the Adobe family of products, web design, digital art formats, and a wide variety of fine art and crafting skills.

My past work includes AD development and graphic marketing at Valley Oak Press Inc. I worked with clients to create advertising elements that showcase their business potential and develop new “special sections” for our advertising department to use.

I have worked on a wide variety of game projects with diverse teams on independent projects. I have been in many roles, such as UI Designer, Artist, 3D Modeler, Texture Artist, Project Lead, Level Designer, and Art Lead.

Some of the projects I have worked on were started as part of a Game Jam, where our teams only had 48 hours to complete the entire game. One of those games, One Ping Only, we have continued to work on and publish on Steam as a free game, which you can download now! We’d love to hear your feedback.

I have also been in many leadership positions for different things, like game projects, graphic design teams, and retail positions. Leading these groups within their respective environments has allowed me to become more adaptive the teams and individuals I work with.

Most of my game design inspiration comes from story driven games that leave a lasting impression on the player, like Gris, Journey, Limbo, and many more unique titles. My passion can be expressed as what the player takes away, such as thinking differently or seeing a change within themselves after playing.
